Abstract

Presents a formal model in which relationships between entities carry evidence, context and constraint. Defines when a transformation of the relational geometry is "valid" — permitted by a stated invariant — and when it must be blocked or revised.

What this establishes

  • A formal definition of valid transformation over a relational graph
  • The role of evidence as the driver of relational change
  • A mechanism for expressing constraints as invariants over subgraphs

What it does not establish

  • That the model has been independently verified against real institutional data
  • A production-grade implementation of the transformation algebra
  • Universality across all forms of reasoning
